In the 60's Funk became the word for Afro-American dance music. DJSandstorm seeks the funk in new and old dance music: funky house, breakbeat, hiphop, electro, house -and dance classics mixed with new dance tracks, DJ Sandstorm mashes it in a funky blender.

Besides putting funk in his sets, the mashing up of rock and funky dance-music defines Sandstorm’s style. A path he choose in the 90’s, influenced by acts like The Prodigy and Chemical Brothers. It’s dance music with ingredients from punk-funk, new wave and hiphop from the 80's and with the spirit of funk from the 60's and 70's.
